If you have been visiting our blog, you must know we have been working on Bar Rouge a bar lounge inside the Hotel Huntington Beach, Pacific Hospitality Design was commissioned to design the space, and furnishings. So we went over and beyond and spared no detail. We decided to fuse two very different but yet classic designs within the space itself and the furniture. We mostly kept the overall color scheme as a monochromatic with ranges of gray, silver and black, we then added accents bold colors like China Red & Canary Yellow. The overall design of the furniture has classical French details such as; diamond tufts and decorative nail head studs marrying it with the sexy curves of Asian furniture. Other details used thru-out was the pillows: each face was individually designed and printed. Each original face represents an Asian female profile and they are sort of facing each other, as if they are having a conversation. The banners also were originally designed and individually printed, then installed in a layer effect to create that semi-private effect.
V.I.P area back wall was upholstered in a Toile, which is the name of a fabric that entered the English language around the 16th century from a French word meaning “linen cloth” or “canvas” — particularly cloth or canvas for painting on. This particular Toile has an Asian print. We also created (2) side walls with China Boxes, each boxes was hand crafted from start to finish, each of these has a letter which in Chinese it translates to health, happiness, good luck etc..Left Wall has approximate 2000 individual boxes, the right wall not shown here has approximate 1600. We also designed and manufactured a mirror which measures 14′ in width and 60″ in height, hand gilded with gold leaf and exhibits a hand antiqued mirror. We also designed and manufactured these chandeliers in where we powder-coated strands of metal beads in a glossy China Red, and hand stranded each individual metal bead strand to a top/bottom intricate laser cut chrome finish plates.
