Global Color Research Color of the Year Verdigris
The first colour of the year from Global Color Research is Verdigris (NCS S 2050-B80G), a colour that was published in their Autumn/Winter 09/10 trend, Opal.
Although Verdigris is the stand-out from this season’s palette, look out for the other colors from this festive palette to be strong, too.
You might be amazed to know that when I go to a forecasting meeting many of us will arrive with almost exactly the same colors based on our research and knowledge of color. I put this palette in the middle so you could see how all three of these well respected organizations arrived at similar conclusions. It is no surprise to me that Verdigris looks very much like Pantone’s Color of the Year above and their blue looks ike ICI’s Color of the Year below.
